ATtiny85
Microchip ATtiny85 8-bit AVR MCU, 8 KB flash, 512 B EEPROM, 512 B SRAM, 20 MHz, with a 10-bit ADC, in an 8-pin DIP package.
The ATtiny85 is a Microchip 8-bit AVR RISC-based microcontroller in a small 8-pin package, designed for a compact, low-cost control or a sensor application. It offers 8 KB of in-system self-programmable flash, 512 bytes of EEPROM and 512 bytes of SRAM, with six general-purpose I/O lines and 32 general-purpose working registers, and the AVR core executes most instructions in a single clock cycle for a throughput approaching one MIPS per MHz, up to about 20 MHz. Despite its small size the device includes two timer/counters with PWM, a universal serial interface that can serve SPI or I2C, a four-channel 10-bit analog-to-digital converter, an analog comparator and an internal oscillator, and it operates over a broad 1.8 V to 5.5 V range, which makes it a good fit for a battery-powered or a space-limited design. The 8-pin package and the low cost suit a simple task such as a sensor interface, a small motor or a light controller, where a larger part would be wasted. Typical applications include sensor interfaces, small appliances, lighting control, battery-powered devices and education. Every device BeiLuo ships is factory-traceable and includes an import declaration, a certificate of origin and a RoHS compliance file. Our FAE team helps you choose the memory and the package and plan the software and the peripherals.
FAE Professional Review
The ATtiny85 packs an 8-bit AVR core, 8 KB of flash, a 10-bit ADC and a USI into an 8-pin package, so it suits a compact, low-cost sensor or control task where a larger part would be wasted. The internal oscillator and the wide voltage range simplify the board. Confirm the I/O count and the memory for the application.

Frequently Asked Questions
What projects suit the ATtiny85?
It suits a compact, low-cost task in an 8-pin package, such as a sensor interface, a small motor or a light controller, where a larger part would be wasted. The 8 KB of flash and the 10-bit ADC cover many small applications.
Confirm the I/O count and the memory.
Why choose an 8-pin MCU?
An 8-pin MCU saves the board area and the cost where the task is simple, and it is easy to place close to a sensor. The ATtiny85 still offers a real 8-bit AVR core, a timer, an ADC and a serial interface, so it covers a wide range of small tasks.
Our FAE team can help match the part.
